I got back the first draft from my alpha readers. They were luke warm in their response. Fine I thought. It’s not terrible so let’s re-read in preparation for sending it to my editor. I slogged (and I use the word slog deliberately) through the writing of In the Blood of the King and had a very difficult time finishing it so I could send it to my alpha readers. But when I re-read it I was unhappy. I knew what was going to happen. Except when I re-read Beast Master I was not bored and I definitely knew what was going to happen in that book. This required some thought which I will delve into in my next blog.

It has been 2 years since I wrote an entry and am sorry for leaving it for this long.
