Beast Master
A world teetering on the brink of chaos
The empire of Brac has secretly sowed seeds of destruction and betrayal throughout the world by introducing and encouraging a magically induced plague in Silven, subverting the rulers of Goan and reducing the Merian army to a shadow of its former strength in a pyrrhic victory against a Merian invasion. Langdon, alone, stands untouched. But Langdon has its own problems: a drunken king, counsellors who sell each other gleefully for the gold coins pouring in from Brac, a crown prince whose stutter has made him a political liability, and the youngest brother with a secret which would destroy the royal family. No one in Langdon can see Brac's shadow of domination creeping inexorably closer.
Can an enigmatic woman, fleeing her past, rescue the princes or tear them apart and Langdon falls to Brac.
